Let me also just add that my sweet Mollee wouldn't hurt a fly- but it's so funny to see her growl at Luke like that. She NEVER bites him, she just is very inpatient with him! As you can in the video--Jacob and I think it's funny! They keep us entertained thats for sure!

Mother's Day

As Mother's Day is quickly approaching---This weekend, for those of you who forgot!--- I find myself being more thankful than ever for the mom I have.

Here at work I am working on getting things ready for Baby Dedication at the church. We are taking babies who have been born within the last year and we are dedicating them and their parent's to the Lord. It's such a humbling calling to be a mom and although I am not one myself (yet) I can't wait until the day when I get to hear our child say "momma!" It's been so neat to see and hear the new mom's brag on their babies. What a blessing it is to be around so many mommas who LOVE their kiddos no matter what!

God truly blessed my sister and I with amazing parents- Parents who were there for us from day one, cheering at every event we've ever had, supporting us in school, life, love, friendship and everything. I think sometimes we take our moms for granted! So Mom-------As Sunday draws near, I want you to know that you are so much more than just my mom. You gave me life, and brought me into this world (with the help of dad :) ha!) You taught me about my Jesus and how to love him and love others. You and dad taught me how to pray and how to work hard for the Lord and not for man. You have always built me up, and encouraged me in everything I've done. I can't imagine my life without you! You support Jacob and I in EVERYTHING we do, with school, work and our home. You support our marriage the children that we want to have! I know you will be amazing grandma and I can't wait to give you that gift...But for now though mom, you are my best friend and role model! Thank you for being MY mom! You are the best mom out there! Happy Mother's Day!

Easter and Some Other Ramblings...

Well this weekend was Easter---It was a busy day for the Reinbold's to say the least. Like I mentioned earlier, Hillside has lots of options to go to on Sunday and so we got up early on Sunday morning and made it to the church by 7:15am. We had great turnouts at all the services! Saturday night service was a packed house!  But it was great to see so many people and so many first time guests at our church! God is so good!!!

After we left the church (close to 3:00pm) Jacob and I headed straight to the eye doctor..Yes, eye apts on Easter! After we left there we stopped by The Reinbold family's house and visited with them for a little while before heading to my parents house for steaks and shrimp and baked potatoes and all the fixens!! IT WAS DELISH! I wish I would of taken more pictures of the day but we were so rushed this was all I caught.

All in all, Easter was a very good day! To top it all it off, our staff at Hillside got Monday off. It was so nice to be able to sleep in and catch up on the weekend. We even got some rain! I snapped a quick picture of the storm clouds below.

 I got the house picked up, I cooked dinner and I even made homemade cinnamon rolls!! I also made something wonderful that I had to share!!! I got this FABULOUS recipe from a friend who makes her own laundry soap!!! The "good" laundry soap is so expensive and she gave me this wonderful recipe and I love it!!! I thought I would share with you guys so you all can enjoy the goodness (and it's cheap too!!!)

1 bar of your choice of soap, grated (I use a cheese grater.)

1/2 cup Borax (found at Walmart on the laundry soap aisle)
1 cup washing soda (found at Wal-Mart, but baking soda can be substituted)
2.5 gallons plus 4 cups of water
large tub for storage
Bring 4 cups water to a boil in a large pot on the stove. While you wait for it to boil, grate the soap. Once the water is boiling, reduce heat, add grated soap by handfuls and stir until it's dissolved. Be careful...it will boil over if you're not careful! When all the little soap pieces are dissolved, simmer for a few minutes. Then put 2.5 gallons of warm water into whatever you're going to keep your soap in. I use a 5 gallon tub. Add the Borax, washing soda and soap mix and stir until everything is dissolved. Put the lid on and wait 24 hours before using. Don't worry if your soap isn't the consistency of normal detergent. Mine is usually thinner.

If you have some old laundry soap bottles left over, you can use a funnel and add your homemade soap to it so you don't have to open the huge tub of soap every time you do a load of laundry. Old milk jugs work fine also. Use about 1 cup of soap per load of laundry. If you have a load that is really dingy or lots of stains, you can add 1/2 cup of Borax to the load along with your soap.

P.S. Don't use a soap bar with moisturizer in it! :)

AND finally---two more random pictures--- Below is a picture of some shutters that Jacob is working on. He got a job doing a parade home in the Greenways. It's actually in Tuscany Village and they are BEAUTIFUL!! In this picture they are not finished but I will post pictures of all his work soon!! He has been putting in a lot of hours to finish the house by Thursday (which is when the parade starts.)

Lately in the life of...us!

There has been a lot happening in the life of the Reinbold's lately. We have been busy working away and going to school. Needless to say we are ready for the summer. (even though we are taking summer school too! haha--it seems never ending)

But we are looking forward to extra time spent with these to loves of ours......

Isn't she precious?! I just love our dogs! :)

And we are looking forward to more time spent with family. Speaking of...I have been spending some fun and quality time with my sweet mom! We had a girls night the other night at Emily Nolte's house. She just redid her entire kitchen (Jacob helped do some work on it) and we got to all go over there and enjoy a GNO! Here is a picture of all the girls!

In addition to our GNO- we also enjoyed a few nights of "Party on the Patio" with that same group of girls above. It has been great to have warmer weather and to be able to enjoy time with family! Below is a picture of my mom and I during March Madness.

I also have got into an indoor soccer league this season. I absolutely LOVE it!!! It is the one thing I am doing right now that is completely for me! It has been a blast to connect with some old friends and be playing soccer again! Although I have tried to stay in somewhat good shape...let me just be the first to admit that I am OUT OF SOCCER SHAPE!!! Soccer is a whole different conditioning than what I am use to, but I am loving it all the same!

I hope this weekend finds each of you together with family and friends to celebrate Easter! It will be a busy weekend working for me! Hillside is offering 4...yes FOUR service times on Easter Sunday! Join us at 8:00am, 9:30am, 11:00am or 1:00pm for worship. It should be a great weekend!

Seeing Is Believing

  It seems like lately I have really been seeing the Lord move in my life! I have always been a faithful woman, I was raised in a faith filled home, with parents who believed in a God who moves mountains. They instilled in me the beliefs that I now cherish as an adult and they continue to grow me in my faith, just by simply being parents of faith...Through the valleys and on the mountains-they praise Jesus!
  In watching them be so faithful, I have truly learned more about my own faith. I feel as if I have seen a lot of heart ache lately, not necessarily in my personal life, but in the lives of those around me. We have seen cancer hit our family, and gossip rear it's ugly head, we have seen fires damage homes, people and animals, I have seen the death of 3 young moms and I have wondered why!!! I have wondered why am I seeing such awful things happening around me. But I am realizing more and more that my God is good...ALL the time. He is showing me that there is beauty that comes from those ashes and I have seen the Lord more than even in the middle of these hard times.
  My mom sent me a verse the other day which reads: "Through those who have been wounded deeply...God does great things" I have really rested in that knowing that those words are true!! I serve a God who gives and who takes away, and He loves me enough to take away and for that I am thankful! Through the pain of losing those beautiful young moms, and through the loss of property due to fires, and through the illness that hits so close to home, I have seen the people of our community really come together to help one another out. Our church has opened it's arms, our small group prays together and complete strangers offer their time, money and resources to help out our community and through those actions I am blessed and I know our city is blessed.
  I think that we are seeing the hands and feet of Jesus and I think that there are people all over the community falling more in love with Jesus because we are actually SEEING him moving around us. So today I am thankful for the God that takes away. It is for good reason, and God will do great things.
