Wonderful Weekend

We had a GREAT weekend! It was jam packed and crazy, but I'm getting so used to those I think I might enjoy them...or maybe not...I only want to sleep!!!

Jacob and I both had our bachelor/bachelorette parties this weekend!! SO MUCH FUN!! My shower was a blast full of great friends and family and some very sexy lingerie for my hubby-to-be! ;) He will be thanking my girls next Saturday! haha! I had soooooo much fun and fully enjoyed the night out! Thanks to all my girls who hosted and to all the beautiful friends and family that came!!! Here is a picture of me and my momma on the way to the party! More photos of the evening will be posted later on!
Jacob also had his bachelor party. They had it at our new house and I spent the WHOLE day deep cleaning and getting ready for the boys...Well let's just say that was a complete waste of time! The boys must of had a BLAST!!!! Jacob went to bed a little before FOUR in the morning!! He said he had so much fun though! I am so glad too! He had a BIG turn out and we were proud to show off our new home to all his friends and family! Needless to say I had to re-trace my steps on Sunday and clean EVERYTHING again...I'm still curious as to who throw up in the front yard, but I am thankful that it wasnt in my house! ;)

I can't believe that this weekend is the big day! Time had FLOWN by!!!! I am still a little shocked that next weekend I will be Maci Reinbold! I am proud and honored to be his wife.

Also- Jake, I wanted to tell you that I am so excited and ready to take this next step in our journey together! I know that we are just beginning with the plans that God has in store for our future. I promise to honor God and then you above anyone else. I am so proud of the man you have become, it has been a shear blessing to have watched you grow in your faith and character in the past 6 years. I am humbled by the way you serve me and the way you serve the Lord. I am praying the next five days before we become one, are peaceful, quiet and spent in prayer about our marriage! You are an AMAZING man, my best friend and the love of my life! Ill meet ya at the alter baby! :) Love you!

GRANITE!

Last night we had my parents over to "eat".... Really they helped us with some finishing touches... although are SO CLOSE to being finished there are still a few things we have to do. My mom and I spent the evening organizing and cleaning. My dad worked on some electrical stuff and he helped Jacob put up a new garage door. We were very busy. My parents brought over a papa murphys pizza and cinnamon wheel...That made night #2 of papa murphys haha! But it was so good to have them over and we needed the extra help!

My mom and I also sealed the granite. It looks GREAT!! Here are a few photos of it!!

I am SOOOO excited to finally have a kitchen- I know we have promised so many of you a dinner invite...when we get back and settled after the honeymoon be expecting a phone call! Ill be cooking like a mad woman and we can't wait to show off the house!

Also-Today we are FINALLY in the single digits for the wedding countdown! NINE days and counting. I am so excited and ready for the big day! The people who will be there are those who love and support us and we are so ready to make a commitment to each other and to God for the rest of our lives. I want to tell each of you keeping up with us thank you for your continued support and prayer. This is a time in our lives that we will NEVER get back, we will NEVER repeat...It's once in a life time and it's so special and it's something God has been preparing my heart for, for a long time now. Jacob and I have dated for a very long time, faithfully and we've been preparing our hearts and our minds for marriage. Although our engagement and wedding planning process hasn't been one I would of dreamed it would be, it's one that I am looking towards being thankful for. I have learned so many things about people, about my own family members and about my friends. It has been a humbling experience and one that I know I will look back on and have peace about. Jacob is the man God choose for me and I can't wait to start our lives together.

I am looking forward to September 26th- Hope you all are too! See you soon! Keep praying! :)

Marriage License and Rehearsal Dinner

Today during lunch Jacob and I went to Canyon and got our Marriage License! It was pretty neat to see our names on that document! I am excited and ready to get it back from the state saying I am officially Mrs. Jacob Reinbold!!! Here are few pictures of the license itself! I can't wait to be married and be away on our honeymoon for a while!

I also got all the invitations for the rehearsal dinner printed up and put in the mail today! My parents are hosting the dinner at Amarillo South! I am so thankful for them! They have done EVERYTHING for the wedding and we couldn't of had this wedding without them. I am so thankful for the unconditional support, love and acceptance of me and especially Jacob.

I'm sure any of you who have planned a wedding or who have been married know the stresses that come with taking on a son or daughter-in-law. I just am so blessed that my parents love Jacob like a son and take him in like their own. I can't wait..like I said earlier..to get through the next 11 days and move into the house with Jacob and be his wife. I know that our home and our marriage is being showered in prayers and we are thankful for that and ask that each of you continue to do that for us!

Here is a picture (taken from my phone) of the invitations we sent out. There were actually two sets, but I only got one on here. Let me know what you think! Hope everyone has a great Tuesday and great rest of the week!

Also!!! I will take pictures of the BEAUTIFUL granite tonight and post them on here later this week!

Short and Sweet Update!

I thought this was a great way to start this morning!---- I love this verse and I think it so true! What a blessing!

“Consider it a sheer gift, friends, when tests and challenges come at you from all sides. You know that under pressure, your faith-life is forced into the open and shows its true colors. So don’t try to get out of anything prematurely. Let it do its work so you become mature and well-developed, not deficient in any way” (James 1:2–4 MSG).

This week has been a very busy and crazy week. It seems like we've had something going on every night. Monday was labor day and although we had a WONDERFUL day with WONDERFUL food and family- it was still busy, then Tuesday I worked with my mom and Jacob has class- Wednesday we had the Chamber BBQ pre-party which was soooooo fun and the food was excellent! It was so good to catch up and see everyone! I ran into Jacob's SWEET and PRECIOUS aunt Julie- we ended up standing and talking for over an hour. I absolutely love her! Jacob and I can't wait to have her and Scott over for dinner when we finish the house!

THEN--tonight is the actual Chamber BBQ which we are working. I hope to see everyone again! Friday- Jacob's little brother has a football game...the Hell Week game to be exact! I am excited to watch him play, and last but not least Saturday I am working the Tri-State Fair Gala with my sweet mom!! BUSY BUSY BUSY but I am so thankful for the extra money!

Also-Last night Jacob's brother and sister's came over to see the house and to chat for a while! It was nice to finally catch up with them, and it was great to see them support Jacob and I in our new home!!! After the younger two left, Jenna- his oldest sister stayed and we all sat outside and talked for forever!! It was great catching up and Jenna got to see some Beech street drama! What a night!!! ;)
Anyway- sorry for not having any fun pictures! But hopefully there will be some to come from the weekend! Hope everyone has a blessed Thursday! Hang on its almost Friday!! :) :)

Free Chick-Fil-A...yes please! :)

Well you better believe that first thing Monday morning I woke up with free chicken on my mind. As soon as I got to the house I reminded Jacob of the good news! We quickly "got ready" and called my parents to meet us at chick-fil-a. We all enjoyed a wonderful lunch (even Mollee was excited about it!) I had so much fun with my family on Labor Day!
After all chick-fil-a we went home and Jake and I worked...on the house, duh! And my parents "labored" over a WONDERFUL meal they cooked for supper. My dad grilled steaks, shrimp, onions wrapped in foil, sauteed mushrooms, rolls, and much more...YUMMMM!!!! It was a great day!

MOVE IN DAY!!!! (or days....)

I wanted to start off with this: I read it and found it VERY neat and VERY true!
"Great minds discuss ideas.
Average minds discuss events.
Small minds discuss people."
Just food for thought....

And then:::
We finally got all moved in!!! (almost :)) The floor guys finished up Saturday night at like 8:30 and so Jacob, my parents and myself spent the day Sunday moving in! We got almost everything over there except what I'll need at my parents house before the wedding! We still lack glazing the kitchen cabinets and the granite is being installed on the 15th! I am so excited and so pleased with how things are turning out! The pictures don't really do it justice but here's a sneak peak!
These first few are our bedroom. The walls are pretty bare but after the wedding I am sure we will fill them up with our pictures! I love our room!

This little table is gorgeous and an antique- I found it a good friends garage sale and she gave us a VERY good deal on it! It matches perfect!

Here is the bookshelf/wine rack that Jacob built on his own! I love how it turned out!
Still decorating....

These have weird lighting issues...but at least its an idea....
Jacob found this OLD OLD OLD bible at a house he's working on and it's the neatest thing I've ever seen! The binding is messed up but the bible is COOL! I am very excited about his find.

Kitchen table--we plan on getting a new one soon...But this is a hand-me-down and will work for now.

WAHOO! So close to being done! More pictures to come!

Random Thoughts...

I have been so busy lately with school starting back up and the wedding just 23 days away and the house needing to be finished, that I haven't been able to keep up with my blog!! I really don't even have any new news but I did want to share a couple of things...
We got our appliances last weekend FINALLY and got them all installed and Sweet Jacob called me Monday morning at work and asked what my lunch plans were. He said if I didn't have any he would love to make me lunch!!! I was thrilled and when I got home Jacob had made a wonderful pan of chicken strips and french fries (crinkle cut--his favorite of course!) It was so sweet and since we are VERY classy we sat down in our lawn chairs in the living room and watched Planet Earth while eating lunch! It was sweet and romantic and wonderful! :) Memories like that people are what make me happy!
Here is a LOVELY picture of us haha! Then (like I said this is a random array of postings...) but here is a picture of my SWEET but lazy puppy...is it even normal for a dog to lay like this. She is precious but he is so heavy now........ :) hahahahaha (you with me mom??)She is so precious and I love her SOOOO very much!

Ok and last but certainly not least--Here what I am looking forward to the most (aside from the wedding of course!HAH!)
Ok now I am certainly not to proud to state that I am on the mailer list for Chick-fil-a I love that place! So I thought I would share the good news I received via email....Sept 7 (that's labor day) if you wear your team logo you get FREE CHICKEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You all can thank me later when you have full tummies! Have a good day!
Thanks for putting up with my randomness!
